My Role: Lead Product Designer
Duration : 3 Years
During my time at Citi, I had the opportunity to work on more than 15 mobile and web products. I played different roles, both as an individual contributor and as a product design lead. One of the teams I was a part of was the Acquire Team, where our main focus was to improve customer onboarding experiences. In this role, I worked on a range of projects, including ML-based ID verification, an AI insights app, a small business portal, and Citi Cards.
Throughout these projects, I collaborated closely with various teams, such as the design system, UX writers, UX researchers, directors, product managers, producers, legal, and accessibility team.

Project 1
Citi’s AI insights App: Citi AI insights is an app that helps existing Citi customers build their financial wellbeing. It achieves this by improving their credit scores through insights based on their spending data. Additionally, it enables users to build financial literacy through a conversational chat interface. The app leverages Citi's existing resources to promote financial wellbeing and position Citi's products in a contextual way.
Problem: Through research, we identified that people experience low credit scores, which impact their financial well-being. Citi products, which are focused on well-being, are not positioned in a contextual way. Additionally, people lack personalized guidance and insights to improve their financial well-being.
I conducted primary and secondary research, explored various design concepts, and prototyped the solution. This process led to the development of a concept product that the Citi leadership became quite excited about.
I proposed an AI-based product that could potentially provide great value to Citi customers, as well as improve product purchases.
